About Hua Hin:

Hua HinHua Hin is located some 200 kilometres south of Bangkok, on the beautiful shores of the Gulf of Thailand. A city with around 75, 000 inhabitants, it enjoys the title as Thailand's oldest seaside resort since Thai King Rama VI ´discovered´ the then-small fishing village in the 1920s. His Majesty erected a summer palace by the sea that he called 'Klai Kangwon' which translates as 'far from worries'. But the royal presence did of course mean that many others also traveled to Hua Hin for relaxation. Not until a relatively few years ago did foreign tourists began to find out about Hua Hin, which however still is a seaside resort dominated by local tourists, unlike Phuket and Koh Samui. The city offers many great restaurants offering food from all continents, a long sandy beach, several good golf courses (the closest one, a bicycle ride away) and another seven golf courses within a 30-kilometre range. The newly built shopping mall Market Village  has fast become Hua Hin’s latest success with shopping, restaurants, movie theaters, bowling and much more. A new wider highway from Bangkok has been completed, which makes Hua Hin even closer to the world metropolis that the capital Bangkok is.
